There are many aspects to hiring the right person.  Not hiring your next nightmare should include evaluating each person according to how their physical and mental ability matches the essential functions of their job.  The company can also look at ergonomic interventions that can minimize risk for workers.  An accurate job analysis can create the path to legally compliant functional testing that can minimize exposure to common sprains and strains and create accountability if an injury occurs.

We hope you will consider joining us for our final meeting of the year.  MTHRMA likes to us this meeting as a way to "give back" to our members and the community.  We will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for Brown County Toys for Kids and the chapter will be buying lunch.  

We are going to have some fun reflecting back on our year and have some time for networking and fellowship.  Charlotte Tongate will be quizzing us on the Etiquette Rules that she taught us back in March.  It will be fun to see what we do or do not remember.

Program: Workplace wellness, what works and what doesn't

Companies are having outstanding success with their goal of having healthy employees.  They are helping staff make better wellbeing choices with and emphasis of looking at the whole person.  The metrics of the programs reveal a decrease in employee turnover, more innovation, reduced healthcare costs for the company, and higher morale.

The second part of the program will be on anti-aging breakthroughs for individuals.

Chapter President a Landmark Life HR Director, Stephanie Doss, will discuss "Becoming a Better Manager: 10 Best Practices for Great Managers".  She will lead a conversation around practical ways a manager can go from good to great and why it should matter to HR.
